Canada Futures Hybrid Training program combines elite virtual instruction with hands-on, in-person coaching to maximize development and performance. This flexible approach allows athletes, coaches, and teams to benefit from both remote strategy sessions and on-field execution, ensuring a well-rounded, high-performance experience.

NFCA Level: Entry-Level Participation
CAC Alignment: Initiation & Trained Coach Level
Focus: Foundations in coaching, ethical practice, and professional conduct.
Requirements:
• Completion of NCCP Competition Introduction (Trained)
• Attend at least one Canada Futures Coaching Clinic/Webinar
• Submit Coaching Philosophy Statement (max 300 words)
• Sign and uphold the Canada Futures Coach Code of Conduct
• Actively coaching in a rep or competitive community program
• Demonstrates growth mindset and commitment to safe sport -
NCCP Stage: Certified in Competition Introduction
NFCA Level: Continuing Education & Portfolio Work
CAC Alignment: Trained/Certified Coach Level
Focus: Skill refinement, planning, and athlete-centered development.
Requirements:
• Certified in NCCP Competition Introduction
• Minimum 2 years of coaching experience at rep or equivalent level
• Coached or played in a provincial championship
• Submit a Coaching Portfolio (seasonal plan, practice plan, LTAD integration)
• Attend 2+ Canada Futures coaching education events
• Provide reference from club/association confirming ethical standing
• Demonstrates reflective practice and application of LTAD principles -
NCCP Stage: In Progress or Certified in Competition Development
NFCA Level: NFCA Master Coach Education – In Progress
CAC Alignment: Advanced Coach / Coach Developer Stream Initiation
Focus: High performance application, mentorship, and reflective learning.
Requirements:
• Minimum 5 years of coaching experience
• Completed or actively enrolled in NCCP Competition Development modules
• Attended multiple Canada Futures sessions over 2+ years
• Submit Reflective Coaching Statement (500 words)
• Mentor an emerging coach or participate in Canada Futures mentorship circle
• Demonstrate athlete evaluation, growth tracking, and communication strategies
• NFCA Annual Membership required -
NCCP Stage: Certified in Competition Development
NFCA Level: NFCA Master Coach Completed or Final Stage
CAC Alignment: Coach Developer / High Performance Leader
Focus: Leadership, system impact, and program excellence.
Requirements:
• Certified in NCCP Competition Development
• Leads a regional or high-performance program (U15+)
• Demonstrated athlete advancement to college/provincial/national teams
• Presenter/facilitator at a Canada Futures or NCCP event
• Submit a Leadership Portfolio (program, mentorship, athlete pathway)
• Model inclusive and evidence-based coaching
• Maintain NFCA Annual Membership -
NCCP Stage: Chartered Professional Coach (ChPC) eligible or active
NFCA Level: NFCA Master Coach Graduate
CAC Alignment: Chartered Professional Coach | National/International Leader
Focus: Mastery, long-term legacy, and system leadership.
Requirements:
• 7–10+ years of high-performance coaching
• Active or eligible for ChPC designation (via CAC)
• Proven athlete pipeline: consistent development to post-secondary/national/international level
• Contributions to coaching education, speaking, innovation, or writing
• Submit a Legacy & Leadership Plan
• Champion EDI and uphold Canada Futures & NCCP values
• Maintain NFCA Annual Membership
